Journey Stories

I did a Journey with a beautiful, sweet White Cloak. We danced around each other in the air for what seemed like hours, chirrped and sang. Drew infinity symbols around each other in the sand and in the snow, drowned in the golden myst of the Tower, glowing like falling stars… We entwined our scarfs like arms, swirling around each other… S/He was a really beautiful soulmate…

I wanted to friend him/her immediately after his/her name flashed on the screen after final titles, and I sent him/her a request, but he/she never answered back… I felt somehow sad about it…

Still, he/she gave me so many joyful and happy moments! I am infinitely grateful to that person.

So this morning I started up Journey, this would be my third run of it so I was curious and eager to see all the secrets of the game. The first run I got to the teleport to stage area and I didn’t know that’s what the glowing areas were for so I fell into one of the teleports and ended up at the beginning of the snow area, I found a first timer and I attempted to help them instead of just restarting and it really disheartened me since they would leave me behind and were pretty stubborn.
I ended up just leaving them and restarting, this is where the best journey begins.

I got into the first area and to my excitement, a person with a white cloak is there, I am of course very chatty in my excitement and they started building the bridge as I followed them and collected the ribbon symbols with them. I was in hopes this person would show me the flower and fl0w but they seemed to have missed the flower which is okay, I can find it some other time. The whole time however we were very chatty and they showed me where all the hidden ribbon marks were (except the first one in the ruins, I may have accidentally skipped it since some parts in that area my TV makes it hard to see.. Need to find that still then it’s complete). They were always very patient with me, waiting when I fell behind and replying to my ‘wait for me!’ chimes.

This all was well until we came to the dreaded snow area. I truthfully dislike it because the first two times I’ve played, the other person always left or something. Then we finally got to the heaven area and I saw them but I quickly lost them and I got sad, I thought I had lost them for the ending of the journey. I climbed up and up, chiming as I went in hopes that they would chime back and finally made it to the top right before the ribbon symbol bridge to the peak. I chimed and chimed, hoping that my friend would still be there, that they had waited for me like the whole journey. I looked around and since the music was too loud, I could only see my friend’s chimes symbol and I excitedly jumped back down to where I thought they were to meet them, they were there and they waited for me. I was so happy and excited, we went to the peak together and drew hearts in the sand, I was a bit hesitant to leave because I had such a heart warming experience with them. We finally did decide to leave, criss-crossing the sand as we went to the end. Thank you Comatoast, I had a lot of fun.

Finished Journey again, all with one person this time

They were awesome, they had a white robe and they showed me where everything was and we tried to climb that tower without turning on the glowy bits and we got really high because we could keep singing to each other and keep our scarves powered up as we glided around
