I was on another run, trophy hunting, not really expecting to meet or stay with anyone. I was a white cloak for the ease of not needing another Journeyer or cloth creatures in order to travel quickly. I met another white, one who had the details on their cloak finished. They followed me relentlessly, so I allowed their company. We went back and forth between me following them, and them following me. Once we ran into one of the wall glyphs, I chirped madly to let them know that it was what I needed. I believe they got the hint and also started searching with me. We spent most of the travels together, having met at the bridge. At the story-progression scene right before the snowy peak, my internet cut out, resulting in the two of us being separated, and my poor traveler had to finish his journey alone. It was so heartbreaking, watching him all by himself, travel up the mountain and finally pass all alone.
